Our newly established dietetic rotation offers a wealth of clinical experience and development opportunities, working for six months in each area giving you a solid grounding in dietetics, enabling you to build and develop new dietetic skills.
Main duties of the job
This post will allow you the opportunity to develop your skills in adult, older adult and paediatric dietetics, in a variety of settings. We are proud of our progression with remote consultations, as well as delivering patient education group sessions and staff training. Our mental health inpatient teams cover a caseload of patients with a variety of mental health conditions including dementia, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and disordered eating. You will also gain experience in a range of services including community hospitals, home enteral feeding, primary care, stroke care, obesity, paediatrics, nutrition support, community clinics and learning disabilities.
Oxford Health Dietetics is expanding as a service; we hope to widen our reach and support even more people living in Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas. Our services are expanding across mental health, forensics and community services with new roles in catering, eating disorders, community dietetics, Oxford Stroke Rehabilitation Unit (OSRU) and the community hospital wards.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
This is a rotational post across the different clinical areas within Oxford Health, where the postholder will provide a high standard of dietetic advice to the population of Oxfordshire in various mental health and community based settings including clinics; inpatient wards; patient homes, care and nursing homes as well as deliver digital consultations and patient groups sessions. The rotations are currently six months duration (subject to change) and take place across community and mental health services, with potential to expand into additional clinical areas.
The rotations are arranged to cover the geographical area of Oxfordshire. The allocation to a specific rotational wheel will be discussed at interview but opportunities will exist to match placement to required clinical skill development needs. There may be some opportunities for remote working, but travel is inevitable.

Essential criteria
- Recognised nutrition and dietetics qualification at degree level
- HCPC registration
- Member of BDA

- Member of BDA specialist group
Experience

- Varied clinical exposure either on placement or in previous role
